Help Me is not TaskRabbit. There is no paycheck from the app, no hourly rate, no customer you invoice. If you already jump strangers’ cars and walk people to the ramp, this is how the person who needs that finds you without shouting it down Broadway.

Apply from Account

The application lives inside the iPhone app. There is no web form on this site and no shortcut around staff review. It asks what you can actually help with, when you tend to be around, why you want to, what you have done before, and for identity evidence.

• Submit identity evidence from the app — a staff member reviews it.
• Pending, approved, rejected, expired, and resubmission are real states.
• An old badge grants nothing. Approval has to be current.
• This is not a criminal background check, and we do not advertise one.

After a person says yes

You choose when to go online. You can use your location so offers are genuinely nearby. Going offline, leaving the app, accepting a request, or going quiet removes you from active matching.

When an offer arrives, read it. Accept only if you can actually show up in public. Chat is private. Meet where other people can see you. Mark it done. You are a neighbor, not an on-duty employee.

What you are allowed to decline

Anything that sounds like an emergency — tell them to call 911. Anything that wants to happen in a dark driveway instead of a grocery vestibule. Anything that asks you to be a mechanic, a locksmith, a counselor, or a cop. Help with the jumper cables. Leave the rest to people whose job it is.
