Help Me is not 911, not campus police, not a paid gig board, and not a locksmith dispatch. A jump start is someone with cables. A locked-out ask is a neighbor, not a professional entry. A flat tire is a spare and a jack, not a shop. If you need a contractor, hire a contractor.

The rules do not change by category
Approved helpers only — identity evidence plus a current staff decision, not a background check. Live help shows as a coarse area of about 500 meters. Exact location is opt-in after accept. No. Help Me is not a gig marketplace. Helpers are approved community members. Do not expect a professional, a invoice, or an ETA.
What if my need is not listed?
If it is everyday, non-emergency, and a neighbor could actually do it, ask in a sentence. If it needs a license, a tow truck, or 911, use that instead.
What if nobody accepts?
A request stays open up to two hours, then it closes. You can try again. Only one live request at a time.
