Close enough to walk, still a neighborhood
Hawthorne is one of Fargo’s oldest residential fabrics — Hawthorne Elementary, glass streetlights, houses that predate the mall. Downtown is close. That is a gift for meeting in public: Broadway coffee, Island Park in daylight, a grocery on a collector. It is also a reason not to send a first meeting to a porch that looks friendly from the street and isolated from the sidewalk.

A 500-meter area covers a lot of historic blocks. That is the point. Open help is not a pin on a specific house. After a helper accepts, you choose whether to share more. Private chat is two people. Nobody else is in it.

Will the whole block see my request?
No. Eligible approved helpers get a private offer. There is no neighborhood feed of who needed help.
Is Help Me a historic-district program?
No. It is the same Fargo–Moorhead app. This page exists so the streets have a name in search, not a special partnership.
