answer
Who is Help Me actually for?
Adults in one metro. Everything else follows from that.
Short answer
Help Me is a community app for adults in the Fargo–Moorhead area — residents, college students, and people passing through the metro. It is not a K–12 student network, not a youth chat platform, and not a school-issued safety program. High-school pages on this site describe the adult community around a school, not a service for the students inside it.
The facts, in one place
- Adults in Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead, and the surrounding towns.
- Not designed for minors and not marketed to them.
- Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any school district.
- College students are adults and use it like anyone else.
Why the line is drawn hard
An app that connects a person to a nearby stranger is not a product for children, no matter how good the intention. So there is no youth mode, no parent-supervised child account, and no school rollout. Parents deserve that stated bluntly rather than discovered later.
What the school pages are for
Neighbors near Fargo North or Moorhead High are adults with driveways, dead batteries, and moving trucks. Those pages describe that adult community and its geography. They do not invite students to meet strangers and they do not claim a partnership with any district.
Questions people actually ask
Is Help Me endorsed by a school or district?
No. There is no district partnership and no campus endorsement. Official campus event calendars are attributed to their sources, which is not the same as sponsorship.
My teenager wants to help. Can they?
Helping requires the adult approval process. This is not designed as a youth volunteering program.
