Home and school
This metro lives in houses and apartments, and it lives on campuses. The app is for adults in both places. It is not a youth network.
Home in the app
The Home tab is the daily brief: a welcome, a live-map card, at-a-glance counts, and a short rail of upcoming official events. It is where a Fargo–Moorhead day starts — not a family-control panel, not a homeschool curriculum, not a parent dashboard. From Home you step into the map when someone needs a hand.
School on this site, campus in the product
College campuses — NDSU, MSUM, Concordia, M State — are where a lot of asks actually happen: directions, study, tech, a walk after a night class. Official campus calendars are ingested with attribution. Official campus safety still wins for escorts and emergencies.
High school pages on the website describe the community around each school — activities, nearby neighborhoods, winter car help for adults, official resources. They are geography. They are not a place for minors to meet strangers.
The boundary we will keep repeating
Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. Helpers submit identity evidence. It is not a school-issued safety program, not a homeschool co-op, and not a K–12 chat. High school students should use official school and family channels. Parents who want the honest version should read it that way.
Questions people actually ask
Is Help Me for high school students?
No. It is an adult community app. High school pages describe the area around a school. Students there should use official school and family channels.
Is Help Me a homeschool program?
No. Homeschool families who are adults can use the same neighbor app as anyone else. We do not run a homeschool network or a youth program.
Does Home show my kid’s school?
Home shows a daily brief and upcoming official campus and regional events from the sources we ingest. It is not a K–12 parent portal.
