The tools have to be closer than the doubt. Every request keeps them in reach.
In the request, not buried in settings
When a helper accepts, you have a private chat, a meeting choice, and safety actions in the same place. Report or block anyone, any time. You should not have to hunt a menu while a parking lot feels wrong.
What they do
Block keeps that person away from you in matching. Report flags the behavior for staff, who can act. Together with approximate location, public meeting places, and current helper approval, they are the product’s safety posture — practical, not theatrical.
What they are not
They are not 911. They are not NDSU Police. They are not a silent alarm to Fargo dispatch. If you are in danger, threatened, injured, or watching a crime, call 911 first — then use the app later if you still want to.

Where do I find safety actions?
In the request. They are meant to be one tap away, not hidden after the conversation is already going badly.
Will tapping report send the police?
No. Report notifies Help Me staff. Call 911 or campus police directly for emergencies.
Can I use them before we meet?
Yes. Report or block anyone, any time — including in chat, before a public meeting happens.
