Report and block
Two verbs. Use them early. Politeness is not a reason to keep a stranger in your matching pool.
Block is for you
Matching already skips people blocked by either person. If a chat, a meeting, or a post feels wrong, block. You do not owe a review, a debate, or a second chance in the app. Leave the physical place too if you need to.
Report is for staff
A report is a flag a person can act on — the same kind of human look that helper approval already uses. It is how patterns become visible. It is not a public call-out thread, and it is not a police report. File those with the actual police when that is the right tool.
Also in Community
Posts, comments, and reactions are a local conversation with the same tools. Harassment, spam, and anything unlawful can be reported. Help Me is still not a courtroom and not 911.
Questions people actually ask
Does blocking delete the request?
Block keeps that person away from you. If you are in an active request and something is wrong, leave, report, and use 911 if you need official response.
Will the other person know I reported them?
Treat report as a staff tool, not a message to the other person. Do not rely on the app to warn someone who is already making you unsafe — leave and call 911 if needed.
Can I report from this website?
Use the in-app tools so the report attaches to the account and the request. You can also email support@helpme.fyi. A person reads it.
