Community opens on Events, on purpose. Posts exist. They are a local conversation, not a national social network.
Events first, then updates
The first feeling in Community should be that Fargo–Moorhead has things going on — not that you walked into a blank social feed. Events are ingested and attributed. Updates are the human layer: posts, comments, reactions from people who actually live here.
What a post is
You need an account. Posts persist. They are not a substitute for a help request — a dead battery still belongs on the live map, offered privately to approved helpers, not argued under forty comments. Use a post for local conversation. Use a request for a hand.
The same safety tools
Report and block apply here too. Help Me is an adult community app. It is not a youth network and not a place designed for children to meet strangers. Harassment, spam, and anything unlawful do not belong. Staff can act on reports.

Is Community a public Facebook-style feed?
It is a local, signed-in conversation with events first. It is not a national social network and not the place a live help request is fulfilled.
Do I need an account to post?
Yes. Posts, comments, reactions, reports, and deletion all belong to a person.
Should I post a jump-start ask here?
No. Post a help request on the live map so eligible approved helpers can receive a private offer. A public thread is the old problem.

Fargo–Moorhead Facebook groups are public-to-the-group broadcasts. Help Me sends an everyday ask to approved helpers without the comment thread.
Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. It is not a K–12 student program, not a youth chat, and not campus police.
