What Help Me is
Help Me is not a group you join by answering three questions. It is a request with a gated offer list. Approved helpers who are online and suitable may see a private offer. Your dead battery does not need a public debate about which auto shop is best. Community posts exist in the app for local conversation; they are not how a live request is fulfilled.
When to use which
Use a Facebook group when you want the group’s memory — a landlord warning, a used textbook, a ride to the Cities this Friday from people you already half-know. Use Help Me when the ask is now, local, and better as a private match than as a wall post. Keep campus safety and 911 for anything that is actually unsafe. Keep the group for the social graph Help Me does not pretend to replace.

Do I need Facebook to use Help Me?
No. Accounts are email or Sign in with Apple. The iPhone app is on TestFlight.
Which is better for finding a roommate?
