What if nobody accepts my request?

It happens. Here is what it means and what to do next.

Short answer

The request closes on its own after up to two hours and you can post another one. No approved helper is obligated to accept anything, so an unanswered request usually just means nobody nearby was online, eligible for that category, or able to get to you. If the situation is urgent, call 911 or the right official service rather than reposting.

Say the actual thing in a sentence. Name a public place a helper can picture — a store entrance, a campus lot, a specific corner of West Acres. Pick the category that matches, because eligibility is filtered by category. Ask when you first notice the problem instead of at the end of your patience.

Stranded on a highway shoulder, a medical problem, a threat, a car you cannot safely stay in during a Fargo cold snap — those are 911, roadside assistance, or campus safety. The resource pages exist so that path is never further away than a request.

Are some hours better than others?

Realistically yes. More approved helpers are awake and near campus and the retail corridors in the evening than at three in the morning.
