Identity evidence

Put a name to the offer. Staff look at what you submit. We will not dress that up as a police clearance.

Submit it in the app

The helper application is the place. You cannot email a photo to this website and skip the product. Categories, availability, motivation, and experience sit alongside the evidence. Staff review the packet. Until that approval is current, you cannot see or accept requests.

The sentence we will not bury

Identity evidence plus a human decision is not a criminal background check. We do not run one. We do not advertise one. If you need a licensed, insured, background-checked professional, use a marketplace or a trade that actually sells that. Help Me sells a neighbor with a current approval — and we say so.

Why we still ask

Because the person on the other end is trusting a stranger with an afternoon. A nameless, unreviewed account should not be able to accept a walk from the library. The evidence is the minimum. Public meeting places and report/block are the rest.

Questions people actually ask

Is identity evidence a background check?

No. We do not claim a criminal background check. Staff review identity evidence. Meet in public.

Do requesters submit identity evidence?

Anyone can join and ask. Helping is the gated action. Requesters still have accounts, and report/block still apply.

What if evidence expires?

Approval has to be current. Expired or historical labels grant nothing. Resubmission is a real state.

Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. It is not a K–12 student program, not a youth chat, and not campus police.
