Can I block someone?

Yes — immediately, without a conversation about it.

Short answer

Yes. Report and block are available from every request, and blocking takes effect immediately. Once you block someone, matching does not put the two of you together again — blocked pairs are excluded when helpers are considered for a request. You do not need to explain yourself to anyone to use it.

Report and block are not the same thing

Blocking is personal and instant: that person is out of your world in the app. Reporting is a message to staff with the request attached, and it can affect whether someone keeps a current approval. Use both when both fit. Use block on its own whenever you want to.

When it is more than an app problem

If someone threatened you, followed you, or committed a crime, call 911 and then police non-emergency for the follow-up. A block protects your next request. It does not investigate anything.
